Budapest Airport

Budapest Airport “Ferihegy” – the international airport of Budapest – is located 16km southeast from the city. It has 3 terminals, where plenty of international flights to different cities around the world are departing. Ferihegy 1 is for low cost airlines, Ferihegy 2/A terminal is servicing mostly the Hungarian Airline (MALÉV) flights, while Ferihegy 2/B is the arrival and departure terminal for all foreign airlines. Terminal Ferihegy 1:
To get to Ferihegy 1 takes about 20 minutes by car from the city center (Üllői út – Ferihegyi gyorsforgalmi út), however during daytime it can take longer due to traffic congestion. If you wish to use the public transportation, you need to take bus nr93 from Kőbánya- Kispest (blue, nr3 underground line). Shortly it will be possible to get there by train from the Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). This terminal is used mostly by low cost (discounted) airlines.

Terminal Ferihegy 2/A and 2/B:
It takes about half an hour from the city center to the terminal 2/A& 2/B by car (Üllői út – Ferihegyi gyorsforgalmi út) – but it depends on the traffic due to congestion. You can get there by public transportation as well – take bus nr200 from Kőbánya- Kispest (blue nr 3 underground line). The bus ride takes about 30 minutes, and the bus stop at the airport is located between the terminal 2/A and 2/B.

There are other options as well to get to the airport of Budapest, or to get to the city from there:

Cab (taxi): The cabs you can find at the airport are contractors of the Budapest Airport Company. They are operating with fixed prices which you can check on the display by their station.
Airport Shuttle Service: This shuttle service is owned and run by the Budapest Ferihegy Airport Company. The shuttle buses carry 8-11 people at a time. You can be either first to be dropped off or the last on the way to the final destination. However it’s still a comfortable way to get to your hotel.

Direct Hotel Transfer: On our homepage you can order our shuttle service as well going both directions which is run by our partner company. The driver will be waiting at the airport terminal with your name on a sign.
